Welcome back to the WWE Fantasy G1 Climax Tournament. If you’re new to the series you catch up on the previous matches in the archives. Night 11 of the tonight will feature round 6 of the Raw block. Here are the rankings going into round 6:

G1 Climax Night 11: August 5th Raw House Show
Bray Wyatt (0-5) vs. Samoa Joe (4-1)
With only three Raw Block shows after this one, Bray Wyatt is pretty much mathematically eliminated from winning the tournament. Even though Bray can’t win the tournament he can be a spoiler for the competitors on top of the leader board. Samoa Joe got back on track in the last round by choking out Neville. Joe has made it very clear that he is choking out the remainder of his opponents. Can Bray pull an upset victory and give Samoa Joe his second tournament loss?
Match Highlights: As soon as the bell rings, Wyatt attacks Joe with a series of throat thrusts. Wyatt gets Joe into a corner and nails him with shoulder thrusts. Joe falls into a seated position. Wyatt hits several running knees to Joe in the corner. Wyatt pulls Joe out of the corner and hits a running senton for a near fall. Wyatt stomps repeatedly on the left arm on Samoa Joe. Wyatt extends Joe’s left arm and lands on it with a running senton. Joe rolls out of the ring and favors his arm. Wyatt quickly follows Joe. Wyatt grabs Joe’s arm and smashes it against the barricade. Wyatt then smacks it against the ring post. Wyatt rolls Joe back in the ring and gets a near fall.
Wyatt goes to the middle rope and attempts a diving headbutt on Joe’s arm. Joe moves out of the way. Joe strikes Wyatt with a series of chops, Joe hits a spinning back fist followed up with a short arm clothesline. Joe hits a jumping knee to Wyatt’s head. Joe then follows up with a running senton of his own for a near fall. Joe attempts to clock in the Coquina Clutch. Wyatt bites Joe’s arm and he releases the choke. Wyatt hits a running crossbody block for a near fall. Wyatt goes to the corner and does his spider walk taunt. Wyatt attempts the Sister Abigail but Joe fights out and gets Wyatt up for a Samoan Drop. Joe follows up with a Uranagi for a near fall.
Joe gets Wyatt up on the top rope and attempts to hit the Muscle Buster. Wyatt fights out and attempts a diving crossbody. Joe catches him and hits a powerslam for a near fall. Joe tries to lock in the Coquina Clutch. Wyatt fights his way back to his feet. Wyatt grabs the referee as Joe continues to lock the Clutch in all the way. Wyatt donkey kicks Joe in the crotch. Wyatt hits Sister Abigail and goes for a cover. Joe kicks out at two. Wyatt is livid. Wyatt attempts Sister Abigail again. Joe fights out and locks in the Coquina Clutch. Wyatt tries to hang on for as long as he can but is forced to submit.
Winner: Samoa Joe
Dean Ambrose (2-3) vs. Neville (1-4)
A majority of Dean Ambrose’s matches in the tournament have been plagued with outside interference. Ambrose was expecting a clean match with Balor in the last round. However, The Club interfered and helped Finn get the win. Neville suffered a knee injury on night 1 that has hindered his performance this whole tournament. Neville is desperate for another victory. A desperate Neville is a dangerous Neville. Ambrose will have to be prepared for anything as he faces the King of the Cruiserweights.
Match Highlights: Neville jumps Ambrose on his way to the ring. Neville throws Ambrose into the barricade. Neville attempts to throw Ambrose into the steel steps. Ambrose blocks and throws Neville into the steel steps. Ambrose looks under the ring and grabs a Singapore cane. Ambrose lights Neville up with several shots with the cane. Ambrose goes under the ring again and grabs a table and sets it up. Ambrose attempts to lay Neville on the table. Neville starts fighting back. Neville rakes Ambrose’s eyes. Neville hits a big German Suplex on the mats. Neville brings Ambrose up on the steps and attempts to DDT him. Ambrose fights out and attempts to hit Dirty Deeds on the steps. Neville fights out and hurricanranas Ambrose off of the steps.
Neville finally gets Ambrose in the ring. The referee separates Neville from Ambrose. The referee asks Ambrose if he can continue. Ambrose pushes the referee and tells him to ring the bell. The referee rings the bell and Neville charges at Ambrose and starts stomping a mudhole in him. Neville hits a dead lift German Suplex for a near fall. Neville lands a Standing Shooting Star Press for a near fall. Neville goes to the top rope. Neville attempts a front dropkick. Ambrose dodges it at the last second and Neville crashes to the mat.
Ambrose and Neville get up to their feet at the same time. Ambrose hits a series of clotheslines followed by a swinging neckbreaker. Ambrose goes to the top rope and hits the Lunatic Elbow Drop for a near fall. Ambrose attempts Dirty Deeds. Neville blocks it and hits a Tornado DDT. Ambrose rolls out of the ring from the impact. Neville bounces of off the ropes and hits a Spaceman Plancha. Neville rolls Ambrose back in the ring and gets a near fall. Neville goes to the top rope and hits the Red Arrow. Neville goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Neville waits for Ambrose to get up and attempts a Super Kick. Ambrose catches his foot and spins him around. Ambrose attempts Dirty Deeds again. Neville counters it into a Russian Leg Sweep. Neville picks up Ambrose and hits a Reverse Rana for a near fall.
Neville attempts a Vertical Suplex but Ambrose knees him in the head. Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds and goes for the cover. Neville gets his foot on the ropes before two. Ambrose sits Neville on the top rope and attempts a Superplex. Neville fights out and tosses Ambrose off of the top rope onto the table that was set up earlier. The crowd breaks out in a holy shit chant. Neville refuses to take a count out victory. Neville goes outside and rolls Ambrose back in the ring. Neville locks in the Rings of Saturn and Ambrose taps out.
Winner: Neville
Roman Reigns (3-1-1) vs. The Miz (2-3) w/ Maryse & The Miztourage
Roman Reigns picked up a big victory over Braun Strowman on Night 9. However, his shoulder injury was furthered aggravated. The medical team tried to convince Roman to forfeit this match and give the shoulder some time to fully heal. Roman refuses to forfeit and will compete tonight. Unlike Roman, The Miz had a terrible Night 9. Not only did he lose his match, he lost his Intercontinental championship. Miz will need to take his mind off the Intercontinental title and focus on Roman. A win here for Miz will give him a better chance of winning the Raw Block.
Match Highlights: Before the bell, The Miz gets on the mic and tells Roman to go tell his “buddy” Seth Rollins to give him back his Intercontinental title. Miz goes on and on about how he was screwed out of the Intercontinental title. In the middle of his rant Roman hits a throat thrust and the mic goes flying out of Miz’s hand. The referee rings the bell. Miz retreats to a corner. Roman tries to pull Miz out of the corner but he’s holding on to the ropes. The referee separates Roman from Miz. As the referee starts backing Roman off, Miz pokes Roman in the eye. Miz does a school boy for a near fall.
Miz kicks Roman in his right shoulder. Miz applies a hammerlock to Roman’s right arm and starts kneeing Roman’s shoulder. Miz then locks in an armbar and screams “I know how to wrestle!” Roman lifts Miz up while still in the armbar and powerbombs him. Axel jumps on the apron and yells at the referee. Bo takes a cheap shot at Roman. Miz recovers and grabs Roman and throws him shoulder first into the post. Roman falls into a seated position and Miz stomps away at his shoulder. The referee separates Miz from Roman. Miz argues with the referee while Axel chokes Roman.
Miz picks Roman up and attempts a shoulder breaker. Roman wiggles out and hits a Samoan Drop. Axel jumps up on the apron. Roman runs over and hits a Superman punch on Axel. Then Bo jumps up and eats a Superman also. Maryse is yelling and screaming at Bo and Axel and tells them to get up. Miz sneaks up behind Roman and hits the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz goes for a cover. Roman kicks out at two. Miz can’t believe Roman kicked out. Miz attempts to throw Roman’s shoulder into the post again. Roman counters and throws Miz into the post. Roman hits a Superman Punch followed up by the Spear for the victory.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Finn Balor (2-3) vs. Cesaro w/ Sheamus (3-2)
As mentioned earlier, The Club helped Finn Balor win his match on Night 9 against Dean Ambrose. Finn has made it clear he did not ask for their help and is not affiliated with The Club. Finn has asked that Gallows and Anderson not interfere in his match tonight. In the last round, Sheamus saved Cesaro from a pre-match beat down from Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman. Cesaro was able to pull out the win. But his already injured ribs took a beating. Much like Roman Reigns, Cesaro has refused to forfeit tonight’s match. Cesaro is bringing Sheamus with him tonight in case The Club decides to go against Balor’s wishes and interfere.
Match Highlights: Both men lock up and start chain wrestling. Cesaro gets the best of the exchange and gets Finn in a front face lock on the mat. Finn spins out and hits a jumping double foot stomp on Cesaro’s back. Finn bounces off of the ropes and hits a low dropkick. Finn goes for a cover and gets a one count. Finn attempts the Blood Sunday. Cesaro blocks it and hit a European Uppercut. Cesaro hits a stalling vertical suplex for a near fall. Cesaro attempts the Cesaro Swing. Finn reverses it into a roll up for a near fall. They get to their feet at the same time. Cesaro attempts a clothesline. Finn ducks and clotheslines Cesaro out of the ring.
Finn bounces off of the ropes and goes for a flip dive. Sheamus pushes Cesaro out of the way and takes the dive. Cesaro whips Finn into the barricade and follows up with a running European Uppercut. Cesaro rolls Finn back in the ring for a near fall. Cesaro hits three gutwrench suplexes in a row for a near fall. Cesaro locks in the Sharpshooter. Finn fights to the ropes for a break. Cesaso attempts the Neutralizer. Finn reverses it into a back body drop.
Finn hits a Slingblade followed by a dropkick that sends Cesaro crashing into the turnbuckle. Finn goes to the top rope to attempt the Coup De Grace. Before he jumps off, Sheamus jumps up on the apron and starts yelling at Finn. The referee is now arguing with Sheamus. Cesaro jumps up and superplexes Finn. Cesaro looks at Sheamus and says I got this. Luke Gallows runs down to the ring and attacks Sheamus.
Gallows and Sheamus are brawling around the ring. The referee jumps out and is trying to break them up. Karl Anderson slides into the ring and hits the Gun Stun on Cesaro. Anderson tells Finn to go to the top rope. Finn goes to the top and hits the Coup De Grace. Gallows and Sheamus end up brawling into the crowd. Anderson grabs the referee and tells him to go in the ring. The referee slides back in the ring. Finn hits the Bloody Sunday and goes for the cover and gets the victory. After the match, Anderson offers a “too sweet” to Finn. Finn declines and rolls out of the ring. Finn says “I told you I didn’t need your help”.
Winner: Finn Balor
Seth Rollins (4-0-1) vs. Braun Strowman (3-2)
Seth Rollins has had an incredible tournament thus far. As mentioned earlier, in the last round Rollins was able to capture the Intercontinental championship in his match against The Miz. Even though Rollins won the title and his match, his neck sustained further damage. Rollins has his neck heavily taped as he prepares to face his toughest test in the tournament against Braun Strowman. In the last round, Strowman suffered his second loss of the tournament against Roman Reigns. Strowman is in a foul mood and plans on destruction.
Match Highlights: The bell rings and Rollins hits a series of leg kicks. Strowman no sells the kicks and pushes Rollins down. Rollins gets up and starts chopping and kicking Strowman. Strowman is unphased and throws a clothesline. Rollins ducks the clothesline and hits a Springboard dropkick. Strowman drops to a knee. Rollins hits a jumping knee. Strowman is now on both knees. Rollins bounces off the ropes and hits another jumping knee. Strowman is down. Rollins hits a Standing Shooting Star Press for a near fall.
Rollins goes to the top rope and attempts a Phoenix Splash. Strowman moves out of the way, but Rollins rolls through. Rollins goes to the apron and hits a Springboard knee. Strowman is down to a knee. Rollins bounces off of the ropes. Strowman pops up and clotheslines Rollins. Strowman picks Rollins up from the back of the neck and drops him with a face first chokeslam for a near fall. Strowman picks Rollins up and attempts the Running Powerslam. Rollins wiggles out and Enziguris Strowman in the back of the head. Rollins goes to the middle rope and hits a Blockbuster for a near fall.
Rollins attempts to Pedigree Strowman. Strowman escapes and attempts a back body drop, but Rollins lands on his feet. Rollins bounces of off the ropes and is meet from a big boot from Strowman. Strowman rips the tape of off Rollins’ neck. Strowman starts clubbing the back of Rollins’ neck. Strowman picks Rollins up and lawn darts him in the turnbuckles. The referee goes to check on Rollins. Strowman pushes the referee out of the way. Strowman locks in a Full Nelson and rag dolls Rollins around. Strowman cranks on Rollins’ neck for several minutes. Rollins passes out from the pain. the referee stops the match and awards the match to Strowman.
Winner: Braun Strowman
