AEW Dynamite will be back tomorrow night with another star-studded card. Every AEW Champion will be in action. With All Out 2020 only five weeks away, we can expect to see several seeds planted for what will happen at the show. Let’s take a look at the AEW Dynamite preview for July 29th.

Hikaru Shida vs. Diamante

A few weeks ago on Dynamite, Hikaru Shida told us that she is looking for new challengers for her title. Diamante and Ivelisse heard this message loud and clear. Last week, Diamante and Ivelisse went to war to prove they’re worthy of a shot against Shida. At the end of the hard-hitting affair, it was Diamante who was standing with her arm raised. Diamante’s win has earned her an AEW Women’s World title match. If Diamante can pull up an upset win over Shida, she’ll walk away with the championship and an AEW contract. I don’t think anyone is expecting Diamante to get the win, but she is a solid worker and can be an asset for the AEW women’s division.

MJF State of the Industry Addresss

Last week, MJF quickly dispatched of Griff Garrison. This week, MJF will be planning to address the state of the industry. I’m assuming this segment will be setting up MJF for either an AEW World Title match or TNT title match.

Inner Circle vs. Best Friends & Jurassic Express

“Le Champion” Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle will clash with Best Friends, Orange Cassidy, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus. Last week the Inner Circle was made whole again when Sammy Guevera made a surprise return from suspension. Sammy disguised himself as AEW Dark standout, Serpentico, and helped Jericho and Hager defeat Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.

After the Inner Circle victory, they celebrated Sammy’s return by beating down Jurassic Express. The attack didn’t last long thanks to Orange Cassidy and Best Friends. Orange Cassidy has become a torn in Jericho’s side. In this big ten-man tag, Jericho will be looking to finally crush Orange for good. I’m expecting this to be a heated high pace match. Even though the Inner Circle is back to full strength, I believe we will see Best Friends and Friends get the shock win here.

TNT Championship Match
Cody vs. WARHORSE

Cody’s TNT Championship Open Challenge is quickly becoming the gateway to the wrestling multiverse outside of AEW. The first outsider we saw challenge Cody was the former NWA Television Champion Ricky Starks. Then last week, we saw an 18-year independent wrestling veteran, Eddie Kingston make a lasting impression in a No Disqualifications match against Cody.

This week we’ll see the IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion, WARHORSE set up to the challenge. WARHORSE has seemed to develop a cult following on the independent scene. Every week the WARHORSE fan base clamored for him to be the one who gets an opportunity against Cody. I’m not very familiar with WARHORSE. I watched one of his Beyond Wrestling matches this weekend. He’s a good worker, but I was not blown away. There are are several guys on the independents that I think are better and who deserve the spotlight of National TV. Regardless of how I feel about the WARHORSE, it is cool to see AEW listen to their fan base and give him a shot.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match
Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. Evil Uno & Stu Grayson

Dark Order’s Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are finally getting their AEW World Tag Team Championship match. Uno and Grayson have been undefeated in 2020 and were on their way to a title match before COVID-19 hit. Due to Uno and Grayson living in Canada, they weren’t able to make it in the country for a couple of months. Now that they’re able to get in the country, Uno and Grayson have continued their winning ways and are once again the number one ranked team. I think these guys are super underrated performers and I’m really looking forward to seeing them in this match.

Once again Kenny and Hangman seem to not be on the same page. Recently, Kenny has had some issues with FTR meanwhile, Hangman has been getting along well with them. The subtle tension between Kenny and Hangman could cost them the championships. Kenny and Hangman have quickly become one of my favorite tag teams. However, as much as I love them as a team, I do miss singles Kenny. A loss here would open the door for a potential Kenny and Hangman face off at All Out. I think we will get that match eventually but All Out might be too soon. I’m expecting the champs to retain and move on to face FTR.

Tornado Tag Match
Jon Moxley & Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage & Ricky Starks

The newly formed team Taz will have their hands full as they take on Jon Moxley and Darby Allin in a tornado tag match. Last week Taz was explaining why he threw towel in for Cage during his match with Moxley. Taz was interrupted by Darby who wants revenge on Cage for injuring him at Double or Nothing. Before Darby could make the save he was ambushed by Ricky Starks. Starks and Cage laid the boots to Darby until Moxley made the save with a barbwire baseball bat. This should be a wild crazy brawl that spills out all through Daily’s Place. Since Cage and Starks are a newly established team, I think we’ll see them pick up win here.
