We’re a few days away from the big Survivor Series pay-per-view! Last night on WWE Main Event kicked off with the Usos versus the Dust Brothers. First of all I love it when a wrestling show starts with wrestling and not a long promo. Yesterday I was happy the Rhodes boys picked up a win, well that smile was lost as they lost to the Usos. This was the one match I was hoping for a DQ finish with Miz. Mizdow, and Los Matadores at ringside. It seems like WWE doesn’t know what they want to do with the tag division and there is no long term direction. After Survivor Series I think some new teams need to be introduced to refresh the division and create new matchups.
Another traditional Survivor Series match has been announced between Team Paige consisting of Paige, Cameron, Layla, and Summer Rae against Team Alicia consisting of Alicia Fox, Emma, Naomi and Natalya. The team captains went to battle last night on WWE Main Event. Fox picked up the win and built momentum for her team.
There was a mixed tag match between Tyson Kidd and Natalya versus Adam Rose and The Bunny. The match was nothing special but advanced the tension between both couples. I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce Adam Rose versus The Bunny at Survivor Series. I’m not a huge fan of The Bunny gimmick but, I am a fan of Adam Rose going heel and hitting the reset button. I think Adam Rose and a returning Fandango would make an interesting team.
The Highlight of the Night for last night’s WWE Main Event was the match between Bray Wyatt and Jack Swagger. Poor Swagger, he gets stomped out of Team Cena and now was a sacrifice for Bray. I would have kept Swagger off TV until after Survivor Series to sell that he couldn’t compete for Team Cena. The Eater of Worlds devouvred another victim and is prepared to go to war with Dean Amborse.
